Thurston Classic Hot Air Balloon Event

Come meet Pegleg Pete the Pirate Parrot Balloon Father's Day Weekend when the Thurston Classic celebrates its 30th Anniversary. The festivities begin Thursday evening with the Joyce Stevens's Memorial Night Glow where several balloons are tethered and illuminated to the delight of both young and old. Upwards of 30 balloons and their pilots launch from the field Friday and Saturday evenings and fly into the field Saturday and Sunday mornings where pilots attempt to score with a baggie tossed from their balloon at a target set up on the field. French Creek Heritage Event: Pontiac's Rebellion

29th Annual Wesbury Chicken BBQ and Craft Fair

Each year in the middle of summer, Wesbury pulls together a festival that attracts close to 5,000 visitors. Held on campus, this free event is always the third Sunday of July from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. It includes a Family Fun Zone with games and train rides, outdoor and indoor entertainment, crafters and other vendors, and an Antique and Classic Car Cruise In. In addition, the Sunset Auxiliary holds its annual rummage, book and bake sale. Of course, there are chicken and rib dinners on sale that includes several side dishes and homemade pie or cake.
