January 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28,February 2, 3, 2018 ~ Academy Theatre. 275 Chestnut Street, Meadville PA

Reframing what for many is the central of all Biblical stories; Jesus Christ Superstar tells of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ Leading up to his crucifixion. The story in the show is told by one of Jesus' twelve original disciples -- his betrayer, Judas Iscariot -- as well as other Biblical figures, such as Mary Magdalene, Pontius Pilate, Peter and many more. Set to music by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this famous 1970 rock opera musical presents a down-t-earth drama of Jesus' last days, with righteous dance moves and an array of songs that tell the familiar story in a very different way. With classic hits like "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him," this timeless work will get you moving and grooving to a new beat and seeing things from a different perspective.
