OC & T Railroad: Petroleum Centre Guided Tours

July 8 and August 5, 2017 ~ Perry Street Station, 409 S. Perry St., Titusville PA

You'll ride the train from Perry Street Station through Oil Creek State Park and detrain at Petroleum Centre where tour guides in period clothing will tell the story of how the town grew from 500 to over 3,000 people in a few short weeks. With no government, the town was filled with dance halls, gambling dens and houses of ill repute. Now a ghost town, you will see the diorama at the station and follow the boardwalk to learn the history. Train departs from Perry Street station promptly at 1 pm. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior. Regular train ticket prices apply.

Remembering WWII Ceremony

WWII Re-enactment at the OC&T Railroad, Perry Street Station

Perry Street Station will become a WWII encampment for both forces with displays of uniforms, weapons and vehicles from the era.The train ride and accompanying battle portrays the final German military train trying to escape into Germany with a special cargo including stolen paintings and portraits.

28th Annual Wesbury Chicken BBQ and Craft Fair

Each year in the middle of summer, Wesbury pulls together a festival that attracts close to 5,000 visitors. Held on campus, this free event is always the third Sunday of July from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. It includes a Family Fun Zone with games and train rides, outdoor and indoor entertainment, crafters and other vendors, and an Antique and Classic Car Cruise In. In addition, the Sunset Auxiliary holds its annual rummage, book and bake sale. Of course, there are chicken and rib dinners on sale that includes several side dishes and homemade pie or cake.
