French Creek Heritage Event: Pontiac's Rebellion

July 14, 15, 2018 ~ Cochranton Fair Grounds, Cochranton PA

The 4th Annual Event explores the period following the French & Indian War, focusing on the Rebellion across western Pennsylvania and larger frontier. A distinguished panel of speakers will explore the forces and events that impacted the French Creek Valley. Includes a "Children's Program" with activities, games and educational opportunities.

The two day event offers a brush with local history. Encampments of living history re-enactors provide both a visual and hands on experience. The free event also provides museum quality artifacts and demonstrations. This unique experience offers something for all ages and interests.

29th Annual Wesbury Chicken BBQ and Craft Fair

July 15, 2018 ~ Wesbury, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA

Each year in the middle of summer, Wesbury pulls together a festival that attracts close to 5,000 visitors. Held on campus, this free event is always the third Sunday of July from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. It includes a Family Fun Zone with games and train rides, outdoor and indoor entertainment, crafters and other vendors, and an Antique and Classic Car Cruise In. In addition, the Sunset Auxiliary holds its annual rummage, book and bake sale. Of course, there are chicken and rib dinners on sale that includes several side dishes and homemade pie or cake.
